OUR OLIVE OIL
OLIO ESTRATTO IN ITALIA DA OLIVE COLTIVATE IN ITALIA
Tenuta Di Loreto is blessed with 450 olive trees over 8 acres in the heart of the Chianti region. Our blend consists of Frantoio, Moraiolo, Leccino and Pendolino olives all sourced from the estate.

FRANTOIO olives have a robust, fruity flavor profile with notes of herbs, fig leaf, artichoke, chicory and almond. They are known for their medium to high polyphenol content, which contributes to the oil’s peppery and bitter flavor. Olives picked closer to full maturity have a softer, fuller, fruit flavor and the oil from Frantoio olives is pale gold in color and has a buttery consistency. These are native to Italy.

MORAIOLO olives are known for their intense and robust flavor, with notes of green grass, artichoke and black pepper. They also have a distinctive bitterness and pungency, which is indicative of its high levels of polyphenols and antioxidants.

LECCINO olives are one of the primary cultivars used in Italian olive oil production. These olives are best known for their Tuscan origin and delicate flavor profile. The olives have a mild and fruity flavor with hints of ripe fruit and subtle bitterness, offering a well- balanced taste ideal for culinary use.

PENDOLINO olives are slender and elongated and renowned for their high oil content and superb taste. The Pendolino olive is a key varietal used in creating some of the finest olive oils, rich in aroma and with a perfect balance of fruitiness and pungency.
