The Di Loreto Family’s New Chapter

In 2023, a new chapter began for Tenuta Di Loreto at Vignamaggio when the Di Loreto family, hailing from Reno, Nevada and led by Perry and Patricia, embarked on a quest to find their dream property in Italy. The search for their Italian home took many months and consisted of thousands of miles travelled, both by car and by plane, countless bowls of pasta eaten (usually con tartufo or cacio e pepe), and more than a few bottles of wine consumed. The moment the family saw Tenuta Di Loreto, it was love at first sight. From the meticulous gardens to the expansive vistas, bountiful olive orchard and impressive structures, this would be their home. For the Di Loreto family, this estate is more than a house; it is a legacy—a place where they can create lasting memories for generations to come.

Joining Perry and Patricia in this adventure are their children, Teresa, Andrea, and Christina, along with their treasured grandchildren: Colton, Aidan, Alivia, Declan, and Trey. Together, they envision Tenuta Di Loreto as a home to celebrate life’s milestones and immerse themselves in the rich culture of Tuscany and Italy.

The family looks forward to gathering with friends in this stunning villa, enjoying the lush gardens, and sharing laughter and stories around the dining table. As they embrace the traditions of the region, the Di Loreto family hopes to honor the heritage of Vignamaggio and Tenuta Di Loreto while weaving their own narrative into its storied past.

THE RENOVATION

The transformation of Tenuta Di Loreto began in late 2024, guided by the talented interior designer Lorenzo Pofferi and master architect Antonio Barbieri. After finalizing floor plan changes and design concepts with the team and receiving subsequent approval from the Comune di Greve in Chianti, the team broke ground on the project in early 2025. Over the course of the next year, the family will undertake a comprehensive refurbishment of the property, with the goal of creating a harmonious blend of modern comfort and classic charm while honoring the character of the structure and its picturesque surroundings.
